Today, Malta celebrates the thirty-sixth anniversary from Freedom Day. This marked the last step in the acquisition of full political, social, and economic independent from foreign forces.

We would be mistaken to believe that freedom is something which can be acquired only once. It is our duty to maintain our true liberty by maintaining our values at heart while being proactive to tackle the challenges facing our nation and our region.

Pulse believes that as a nation which has experienced peace and freedom for the past decades, we have a duty to act as a key player in maintaining stability, especially in a period where both Europe and North Africa are both going through internal struggles and external threats. Our principle of neutrality should be interpreted as a catalyst to be at the forefront of peace promotion and a force for dialogue and cooperation in these times of conflict.
